My son, who is 2 years and 8 months old, had a fever seizure a few days ago. He's never had one before and it really scared us. His temperature was 101 degrees and he was staring into space before his eyes began rolling back. We called 999 and they said to lay him on the floor and begin CPR but he woke up as soon as we did that. We took him to casualty anyway, but they couldn't find anything wrong with him. Our doctor said a temperature as low as 99 degrees could cause a seizure. I would like to know more about this: can I stop a seizure? What's the difference between seizures and convulsions? Will they affect his brain? Will he ever grow out of them?
