Natural Mosquito Repellents To Keep Your Baby Protected This Summer

2 min readUpdated May 14, 2025

Summer has arrived, bringing with it sunny skies and the beautiful sound of children’s laughter in the playgrounds. But it also brings some unwelcome guests: mosquitoes. These tiny pests can turn even the most peaceful evenings into itching frenzies. For children, these tiny mosquito bites can be more than mere annoyance. Mosquito bites can spread a lot of diseases, especially in children, as their immune systems might still be developing.

While most parents ensure that their children have some kind of mosquito repellent on themselves before stepping out, the conventional ones might be doing more harm than good. Traditional repellents often contain chemicals like DEET and picaridin, which can be harsh on children’s sensitive skin and can even be potentially harmful upon prolonged exposure.

The good news is there are natural alternatives that are both gentle and effective. In this blog, we'll explore 8 natural mosquito repellents suitable for infants as well as toddlers. With these homemade mosquito repellents, your kids can enjoy the wonders of summer without the bugs—or the chemicals. Join us as we delve into safer, greener solutions to keep your loved ones protected.
